The Mac App
CreateFiles+ is designed to work locally on your Mac and does not require an account. After you accept the current in-app agreement, the direct-download app sends only privacy-limited setup milestones and one first-success milestone; it never sends file names, file paths, file contents, folder names, or folder contents.
Files and Folders
CreateFiles+ creates files in folders you choose. Folder access permissions and app settings are stored locally on your Mac using Apple-provided system storage. We do not receive file names, file paths, file contents, or folder contents.
Purchases
If you buy CreateFiles+ from this website, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment details, billing information, and transaction metadata needed to complete the purchase and provide receipts. CreateFiles+ does not store card numbers on our servers.
Direct Trial and Website License Activation
Starting the direct-download trial sends and stores a hashed machine identifier, the Mac name shown by macOS, the CreateFiles+ version, and the trial start and expiration dates so one 7-day trial can be enforced per Mac. A Mac name can include a name chosen by the owner.
Website purchases require license activation. We additionally store the email address used for purchase, the generated license key, and activation status. The same hashed machine identifier, Mac name, and CreateFiles+ version let the license enforce the purchased Mac limit and help the owner recognize activations. Each website license quantity adds activation slots for up to 2 Macs. We do not receive your file contents or folder contents during trial start or activation.
Website Operations
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard operational information such as IP address, request metadata, security events, and logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
Website Analytics
We use PostHog to measure privacy-limited events such as page views, homepage demo plays and completions, trial and paid-download milestones, checkout starts, purchases, setup completion, trial starts, license activations, and whether the direct app completed its first successful creation. Website events use a random browser identifier. Direct-app milestones use a hashed random installation identifier and may include the CreateFiles+ version, macOS version, and a coarse surface such as the app or Finder extension, but exclude the Mac name, purchase email, license key, raw identifier, file type, file name, folder name, path, and content. We use Ahrefs to understand aggregate website traffic and search performance.
Neither PostHog nor Ahrefs receives the names, paths, contents, or folder contents of files you create with the Mac app.
App Store Purchases
If you obtain CreateFiles+ through the Mac App Store, Apple processes the transaction under Apple’s privacy terms and App Store rules.
